One of the things I’m sick and tired of hearing about from feminists (and one of the many reasons I’ve become totally disinterested in feminism in general), is how much “worse” female genital mutilation is, than “circumcision” or male genital mutilation.
It is perverse, degenerate and psychotic to even attempt to argue that cutting off the tip of a baby boy’s penis is somehow less traumatic or painful than cutting a chunk of flesh out of a baby girl’s clitoris or vulva.
The weighing of one against the other is just the most pathetic, meagre, miserly, histrionic, and fundamentally vitriolic form of discourse—not to mention an impossible and irrelevant contention.
Pain and suffering cannot rightfully be quantified or objectified.
There are just as many trauma-bonded women who will argue that their “circumcision” was necessary, or culturally important, or spiritually significant as there are men who will insist that they’re “grateful” to have been strapped down as infants and had their penises skinned alive.
People experience pain and suffering on a multitude of levels, all of which are subjective and abstract, including in the realm of the emotional, psychic, and the physical.
An act of violence meted out with the same apparent force, velocity, and severity will be experienced in drastically different ways by different people depending on their constitution, past experiences, nervous system set points, physical structure, etc.
Trauma, similarly, is held onto or released based on innumerable variables that no one can accurately parse from the outside.
Who in their right minds would ever feel the need to distinguish this kind of horrific (and inevitably sexual) violation on the basis of sex, let alone compare the effect it has on either sex, nevermind go so far as to claim that it’s somehow “better” for male newborns to have their dicks partially amputated than for baby girls to have their vulvas chopped up?
Who in their right minds?
Women whose internalized misogyny has become so corrosive and dis-eased that they not only truly hate men, but they also hate babies who happen to be male, that’s who.
“Anti-natalist” feminism is a malevolent form of self-hatred and misanthropy.
And I’m done with condoning any aspect of it.
