I’ve been discussing the incontrovertible, factual risks of ultrasound for the past twenty-one years, ever since my beloved renegade midwife Gloria Lemay looked me in the eye and told me outright that there was no way she was going to let me expose my baby to the high-frequency sound waves that both doppler and ultrasound machines inflict, because she just loved me too much to allow me do that to my child.
It wasn’t just my initial surprise at the apparent intensity (and seeming political incorrectness—which I recognized as authentic respect and dignity) of Gloria’s response to the possibility that I was vaguely considering an ultrasound that shocked me awake.
It was also the discrepancy between how Gloria felt about ultrasound, vs. the insistence on the part of the regulated midwife I had initially hired that my baby be “monitored” with a doppler (a form of ultrasound), that signalled to nineteen-year old little me, that I might want to actually research the technology myself.
So I did.
What I found is that ultrasound carries significant, objective risks, and little to no benefit—no statistical benefit, in any case.
Ultrasound was originally devised as military weapon, then subsequently re-purposed by the medico-pharmaceutical industrial complex, turning a technology with limited applications into one of the primary economic drivers of the burgeoning industrial obstetric economy.
Ultrasound has never been proven safe via double-bind control trials.
Ultrasound does not statistically improve maternal or infant outcomes.
Ultrasound damages cells and organs.
So why does almost every woman submit her developing fetus to the standard ultrasound or Doppler procedure, whether that’s the 20 week “anatomy” scan (as though without it, a baby just might not have an anatomy)?
It’s not because any mother actually has an intuitive instinct that ultrasound will benefit her child—human intuition is not connected with or attuned to inanimate surveillance machines.
The use of ultrasound can’t have anything to do with “intuition”—because ultrasound has no therapeutic, prophylactic benefit.
Its advantages are fabricated by an institution that profits from its use.
Furthermore, ultrasound objectively harms mammalian tissue (shown in numerous animal studies), and no mother has a positive “instinct” to harm her child.
The medical industrial complex is inarguably incentivized financially (and in other ways) to enact harm.
The inversion and co-opting of intuition is the what the medical industrial system specializes in.
When women claim to feel an intuitive urge to have an ultrasound, what they’re actually describing is the result of having been successfully instinct-injured and indoctrinated into compliance via fear-based mind-control.
It might sound as though I’m victim-blaming, or “mother-shaming” here, and that’s not my intention at all.
I understand very well how it can be that so many women are unconsciously playing out what amounts to a manufactured, conditioned form of a distortion of intuitive knowing, because this is exactly the form of psychological warfare that the cult of allopathy trades in.
And we are all programmable.
I’m also not suggesting that ultrasound is never useful, or that it’s not occasionally warranted in certain very isolated circumstances.
But when women write in to tell me that I’m “wrong” or “judgmental” in my assessment that the primary purposes of ultrasound include the weakening of the population, manufactured alienation between mother and child, spiritual disaffection, and the naturalization of anti-nature—all for the benefit of the globalist medico-pharmaceutical industry…and that “some women feel very comforted by ultrasound, and experience a greater connection with their baby as a result of it” all I can say is…
You are perfectly proving my point.
Yes, it’s all for profit.
But the real profit isn’t money.
Instinct-injury (as Sister Morningstar so brilliantly and simply calls it), is the real currency.
Indistinct-injury is the true profit-motive behind all of it; all of allopathy, and all of industrial obstetrics, which is the grotesque, warped mockery of the authentic portal of birth, the true nature of which is pleasure, bliss, ecstasy, and God.
If the system can convince women that pregnancy and birth are processes that couldn’t possibly be undertaken without fetal surveillance, “monitoring”, street drugs, scalpels, and rape, they’ve created lifelong consumers of their soma.
The result of having given birth in captivity (another Sisterism), is a generation of women who are so lacking in confidence and differentiation, that they have no capacity to discern when neutrality is cowardice, or when impartiality is the mask of authoritarianism.
Incidentally, I fired that regulated, state-agent midwife twenty-one years ago, after two meetings, and hired, out-of-pocket, the illegal, underground midwife who respected and loved me enough to tell me the hard truth—about ultrasound and everything else—knowing that I had the intelligence and the spiritual fortitude to hear an opinion, commit to researching the issue(s) and then to make my own choice.
And so can you.
